Jeremy Plofker serves as a Vice President at Urban Standard Capital managing development activities and supporting construction related credit opportunities. He joined USC after working for Madison Realty Capital, a real estate private equity firm that manages approximately $6 billion in assets. There he developed luxury Manhattan condominiums, redeveloped over 700 rental units to lease with minimal impact from changing affordable housing legislation, and modernized over 500k sf of commercial space in Brooklyn and the Bronx.
Before working for MRC, Jeremy worked in the General Counsel's office of the New York City Counsel supporting and defending the Counsel's mandate and authority to review zoning changes, including ULURP applications, and to ensure member's compliance with COI and transparency mandates. In addition, he worked with Silverman Building and Preservation Partners Construction Co. on project development, acquisitions, construction, marketing, and sales. Jeremy earned a BS in Civil Engineering from Syracuse University, where he minored in architecture and mathematics, and a JD from Rutgers Law School, after which he became a member of the New York and New Jersey Bars. When not immersed in New York real estate, Jeremy can be found pursuing his passion of skiing in the American Rockies.
